There are many things that make a Ronald McDonald House special, but perhaps the most amazing is the way our community rallies around the families in support of our Home. Families, individuals, businesses, corporations, and groups help us by volunteering as a House Volunteer. The help us prepare meals for our families, and by generously donating their time and money either directly or through various fundraisers. We feel lucky to have the support of all the wonderful friends/volunteers in Northwest Florida to make this House a “Home”. Check out the information below for additional details on how you can volunteer.

House Volunteers
House Volunteers are caring and cheerful volunteers who are often the first voice heard on the telephone and the first smiling face seen as guest and families enter our Home. House Volunteers commit to a shift per week (or bi-weekly) assist in answering phones, greeting families and guests, logging in donations, light cleaning, organizing, and special projects are just a few things House Volunteers do to help make our House run smoothly.
Requirements: House Volunteers have to be over the age of 18 (or accompanied by parent/supervisor) House Volunteers must commit to a weekly (bi-weekly) shift.
Fundraising Event Volunteers
Fundraising Event Volunteers help organize, plan, and execute our main 3 events through the year. Kaps for Kids (spring), Firecracker 5K (summer), and Fire Truck Pull (fall). Fundraising Event Volunteers also may assist in 3rd party events throughout the year.
Requirements: Fundraising Event Volunteers may be under the age of 18 if the event is held off-site
Meal Program Volunteers
Meal Program volunteers are individuals, families, groups, businesses, or corporations that sign up for a particular day during the month to cook our families lunch or dinner. This meal can be prepared at your house or ours! Please call or email the Volunteer Director for available dates.
Wish List Volunteer
Collect items for the House such as paper towels, detergent, and office supplies.
Pop Tab Program
Pull pop tabs from your favorite beverage-collect at work, collect from your neighborhood, collect at school, and drop them off at the House to be recycled. This program helps pay our utility bill. Every pop tab counts!
Group Volunteering
Interested in getting your group together to help us around the House? We like to schedule small groups (~4-10 people) to come in on Saturdays or Sundays to help our families do chores and other tasks around the House. Sign up your boy/girl scout group, book club, church group, friends in the neighborhood etc. Please call or email Volunteer Services Director for available dates/times.
Requirement: Under 18 need to be accompanied by a parent/supervisor/group leader who is responsible for minors while at the House.
