By far the largest single source of funding for the Ronald McDonald House of Northwest Florida is an annual event called Kaps for Kids.  In 2011, more than 500 businesses, groups, and individuals participated in a casual day by making a donation to RMH and wearing Kaps for Kids t‐shirts or hats.  The 2011 event raised more than $158,000 from supporters in Escambia, Santa Rosa, Okaloosa, Walton, and Bay Counties.
