What We Do...

Illness does not discriminate. It does not follow geographic, social, or economic borders. It does not follow any rules. It comes to those of all ages and shows no mercy in its choices. Because childhood illness has no boundaries in its selection, it often catches families off-guard and unaware. They often come through our doors glassy-eyed and shell-shocked, wondering why “this” has happened to their child.

At the Ronald McDonald House, we are able to be there for families when they need it most and offer a comfortable and compassionate home-away-from-home that is within walking distance of the local Children’s Hospital.

We service families of children (up to 21 years old) who are receiving treatment at medical facilities in the Pensacola area. Families who qualify can enjoy:

•A Personal Bedroom & Private Bathroom

•Home-Cooked Meals

•Laundry Facilities

•Children’s Play Areas (Inside & Outside)

•Computers & Internet

•A Gym

•Donated Services

•Community Partnerships

Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northwest Florida is independently owned and operated. We are a local charity that is volunteer driven and community funded. Thanks to the generous support of the Gulf Coast community, we were able to serve the following in 2011:

11 families from Calhoun County, FL for 86 nights

59 families from Escambia County, FLfor 560 nights

12 families from Franklin County, FL for 103 nights
